Sligo welcomes 100 ISPE Ireland professionals

We are really looking forward to hosting a seminar on Data Integrity for over 100 professionals from the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) Ireland.

The seminar will be held in the Model Art Centre on November 16th and we are delighted to bring it to Sligo; the first time the seminar will be held outside a large city in Ireland. The delegation of engineering professionals working in the Pharmaceutical and related industries will also enjoy a tour of the local AbbVie plant as part of the conference.

Shane Loughlin - CTO SL Controls

We have lined up an exciting afternoon of talks with representatives from AbbVie Ireland, Amgen, Pfizer plus our own CTO, Shane Loughlin along with industry leaders from other leading Pharmaceutical companies. The hot topics for discussion include ‘Designing Data Integrity into Equipment’ by our CTO Shane Loughlin and ‘Data Integrity in a Mature Quality Environment’ by Ann-Marie Ward of AbbVie. Chris Ryan from Amgen will discuss ‘The use of justified and documented risk assessments to decide on data integrity controls for computerised systems’ which promises to be informative and enlightening.

Data Integrity – A Hot Topic

Data Integrity is a current topic following a number of warning letters issued recently by the FDA and other global regulatory authorities related to data integrity along with new draft guidelines issued earlier this year by The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Pharmaceutical Inspection Co-operation Scheme (PIC/S). The guidelines help ensure that data integrity is maintained during the process of testing, manufacturing, packaging, distributing and monitoring of medicines.

We are delighted to host so many professionals from the Pharmaceutical and related industries and to bring this popular seminar to Sligo. We are always looking for opportunities to invest in the future of engineering and to foster and support the next generation of professionals working in pharmaceuticals and life sciences. We particularly look forward to welcoming the ISPE Ireland Young Professionals and giving them the chance to network with peers, mentors, and other professionals and to highlight the exciting roles available to them within the industry.
